Ireland Destroy Poor Pumas

Ireland’s secured their top tier seeding with a facile 46-24 victory over a disappointing Argentina in Dublin this afternooon.

And let it be said that the final scoreline was a totally flattery to an awful Argentina outfit who showed only sporadic interest in this game.

However, cliched though it may be, you can only play what's in front of you and so, credit to Declan Kidney, his management squad and players for a clinical and committed performance.

And in the opening half they played some scintillating rugby that resulted in tries for Craig Gilroy, Jonathan Sexton, Richardt Strauss and Simon Zebo that left them 24-9 in front.

The Pumas swopped poor in the first half for abject in the second and Ireland killed it off in the opening ten minutes with a second try for Sexton and Tommy Bowe's first of two allowing the tourists – for that's how they displayed themselves – two late tries that could offer no sort of consolation for what they delivered prior.
