Festive Fun At The Junior Christmas Party
11th December 2012 By jess
The MRSC Gala Junior Christmas Party took place on Sunday afternoon in Thomond Park Stadium where over 300 Junior Supporters Club Members and their parents got the chance to hang out with Munster Rugby Players, Munster’s mascot Oscar and of course the man of the moment Santa!
The party kicked off with the big man himself sweeping through the Thomond Suite in his red suit with a greeting for all the children.
A great afternoon was enjoyed by all as the children played games with Elmo, the Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Mario, Dora the Explorer, Fireman Sam, Spongebob and Frosty the Snowman. There were party clowns and face painters on hand and a DJ to keep everyone moving as they danced away!
All those who attended got the opportunity to meet some of their Munster heroes, getting signed autographs and pictures taken with them.
Players who came to meet the junior members included Ian Keatley, BJ Botha, Wian De Preez, Keith Earls, CJ Stander, Paddy Butler, Mike Sherry, Conor Murray, Luke O'Dea, Sean Henry, JJ Hanrahan, Dave Kilcoyne, Tommy O'Donnell, Barry O'Mahony and Cathal Sheridan, and they all really enjoyed their time and the banter with the kids.
A special thanks has to go to "Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe", in the Crescent Shopping Centre for providing a goodie bag for all 300 children.
