One Week For O’Gara

Ronan O’Gara will miss Munster’s final Heineken Cup pool match against Racing Metro after receiving a one week suspension following an incident playing against Edinburgh last weekend.

O'Gara appeared before at an ERC disciplinary hearing this afternoon in Dublin for an incident that carried a minimum four week sanction.

However considering his exemplary record, the provocation that forced the incident and the inconsequential outcome of his action he received the reduced period of one week.

Commenting afterwards O'Gara said "While I'm very disappointed that my action led to me missing this Heineken Cup game I have to say I was treated very fairly by Mr. Blackett and am very appreciative of his handling of this affair."
