Five Tries In Thomond Park
20th January 2013 By Munster Rugby
Munster did what they had to do and now wait on the Leicester/Toulouse result to confirm their Heineken Cup quarter final spot.
Munster needed the four try bonus point win and they secured it in style with a hat-trick from man of the match Simon Zebo and a try each from Conor Murray and Mike Sherry.
Racing were reduced to 14 men after 5 minutes of play when Antoine Batut received a red card from referee Wayne Barnes.
Murray, Zebo and Sherry scored a try each in the opening half and Ian Keatley added one conversion while Gaetan Germain added two penalties for Racing to give a half-time score of 17-6.
Simon Zebo added the all important fourth try 7 minutes into the second half and sealed the afternoon off with his third and Munster's fifth try minutes later.
