Munster Development Squad Barcelona Bound

Munster Academy Manager Peter Malone takes a Munster Development 23 to Barcelona this Friday for a challenge game against a Barcelona Club selection on Saturday at Camp L’Estadi Esports UB, ko 4.30pm.

The travelling squad is primarily made up of Munster Rugby Academy players including Cian Bohane, Shane Buckley, James Cronin, Philip Donnellan, Brian Haugh, Johnny Holland, Harry McNulty, Jack O’Donoghue, James Rael and Niall Scannell.

Seven Sub Academy players, Cillian Ansbro, John Fitzgerald, David Johnstone, John Madigan, James McInerney, Killian O’Keeffe and Darren O’Shea are also included with the remainder coming from clubs around the province.

Peter Malone commenting on the tour said, “We get an opportunity to test players at a different level in a different environment, and we’ve included players who are going well for their club sides so overall games like this are hugely beneficial to see how guys get on.”
