O’Connell To Start Against Connacht

Good news for Munster ahead of their RaboDirect PRO12 resumption against Connacht on Saturday is that Paul O’Connell will start in the game scheduled for a 5.45 kick-off at Musgrave Park.

O'Connell, who has been out of action at this level since October, resumed in the A game against Leinster last week and followed up with a full 80 for Young Munster at the weekend.

He took full part in squad training yesterday in CIT with Rob Penney waiting until today to see how he showed up after that before declaring him fit to start in Saturday's encounter.

Penney will finalise his starting XV and reserves after training tomorrow in Limerick.
