Munster A Make It A Double

As news from the Stoop filtered in to the team room at half-time at the Mennaye Field, the British and Irish Cup Munster A side were more than motivated for the final 40 in the hope of securing their first win over English Championship side Cornish Pirates.

The half-time score was 9-5 in favour of the home side. Aaron Penberthy kicked 3 penalties for Pirates and Danny Barnes added Munster's try.

In a quiet second half it was an injury time unconverted try from academy player Ronan O'Mahony that secured the victory over Cornish Pirates, a first for Munster A, and completed a Super Sunday for Munster Rugby with both teams securing Semi-Final spots in their resepecitve competitions.
