We’ll See You In Montpellier
7th April 2013 By Munster Rugby
Once again Munster defied the odds and secured their 10th Heineken Cup Semi-Final place after defeating Harlequins 18-12 at the Twickenham Stoop today.
Man of the match Paul O'Connell commenting after the win said "I am so proud after a very special day and so happy for the younger lads."
After been written off on countless occasions and to come away with such an impressive victory the Munster legend couldn't hide his emotion when talking about the younger Munster players and their relentless work-rate.
In a battle of the outhalves it was Ronan O'Gara who kicked all of Munster's points, Nick Evans adding Quins, but it was a collective team effort that secured today's fantastic victory with battling hits from the pack, smashing tackles, and breaks from the backline that gave Munster another day out in European rugby.
We now go on to face French power-house Clermont Auvergne who recorded a comprehensive victory against Montpellier on Saturday afternoon.
Our 10th Heineken Cup Semi-Final will take place at the 32,900 capacity Stade de la Mosson on Saturday April 27th at 6pm (5pm Irish time).
The Heineken Cup Semi Finals are managed by ERC with the competing clubs receiving an equal allocation of tickets which the ERC will confirm once all commitments are finalised.
As always these tickets will be distributed through the Munster Rugby Clubs and the Munster Rugby Supporters Club.
