British and Irish Cup Opposition Confirmed

Munster A are in Pool 4 for next season’s B&I Cup Competition with Nottingham Rugby, Plymouth Albion and Stirling County.

The Ian Costello coached Munster A side were knocked out of this year's competition at semi-final stage and were seeded top of pool 4 for next season's tournament.

The structure has changed for next season with the competition reducing team numbers from 32 to 24, playing in six pools of 4.

The top side in each pool will progress to knockout stage, along with the two best runners-up and the eight quarter-finalists will be ranked with teams ranked 1-4 having home advantage.

Munster A are at home in the first round against Scottish side Stirling County and then travel for rounds 2 and 3 to Nottingham Rugby, who were pool opponents in 2010/11, and then Plymouth Albion who Munster defeated home and away in season 2012/13. Former Munster outhalf Declan Cusack now plays his club rugby with Plymouth Albion.
