Schools RDS Programme In Full Swing
15th July 2013 By Munster Rugby
Munster Schools Regional Development Squad (RDS) Summer programme recently kicked off in training centres at Cork and Limerick.
Nominated players at Under 17 age grade from Cork and Limerick schools as well as Tipperary school Rockwell College are currently taking part in training sessions at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and Castletroy College, Limerick over an eight week period during July and August.
This initiative is designed to develop the players’ general appreciation of the game, technical core skills and strength and conditioning in preparation for next season’s Munster Schools U18 selection process.
The training programme involves two days a week combining Strength and Conditioning and Rugby Field Sessions for two hours per day.
