And We’re Off………

Munster’s team building exercise the Amazing Munster Race has commenced and the players have been left to their own devices around the province.

Supporters and local communities are rowing in behind the team as they cheer on their favourite groups of players taking part in the #MunsterRace. Keep up to date on all the activites via twitter here.

The squad were notified of the race yesterday afternoon, with each group getting a segment of the below map according to where they were heading for. The players have been asked to carry the map with them and get each map signed by supporters, so make sure to say hi and give the guys your autograph for a change.

Then the players were asked to take photos of their trip showing significant points of interest or people that represent the local area they are visiting, so keep an eye out for the pictures that are coming in.

Some groups will also be hitting the Munster Rugby Summer Camps that are taking place in Muskerry RFC, Thurles RFC and Tralee RFC.

Four of the groups will be hitting Life Style Stores on Thursday where a nominated member of the group will have to wear adidas kit and model it in the shop window. The guys will also need to help out with selling the same outfit so if you're in the mood for buying head along.

The Life Style Stores involved are as follows:

O’Connell St., Clonmel
39 Patrick St., Cork
4 William St., Limerick
New St., Killarney

And then if getting to Youghal after 24 hours around the province wasn't enough each group has to make a presentation to the full squad and management, showing highlights of the trip with photographs and videos.

Points will be awarded for each category and the players have to meet all criteria before they arrive in Youghal with a prize and bragging rights in store for the winning group – we'll fill you in once everything is completed!

Group 1: Kilkee, Ennis, Limerick, Charleville, Mitchelstown, Youghal

Group 2: Castleisland, Dingle, Tralee, Killarney, Cork, Youghal

Group 3: Nenagh, Cashel, Thurles, Fethard, Youghal
