Munster Players Take Part In Summer Camps

Following on from club visits during the ‘Munster Race’ team building exercises a number of Munster players took to Cork, Limerick and Kerry yesterday to meet the boys and girls attending the Munster Rugby Summer Camps.

Ballincollig RFC welcomed Donncha O’Callaghan, James, Coughlan, Denis Hurley and Casey Laulala who took part in"" the summer camp activities at the club with the young participants.

Munster players Dave Foley, Niall Ronan and Luke O’Dea headed to Bruff rugby club in county Limerick and also enjoyed a day of rugby with young boys and girls while Alan Cotter, Johne Murphy, Ronan O’Mahony and Cathal Sheridan spent the morning at Castleisland RFC.

Following on-pitch activities the Munster players held an open forum for the children who asked general rugby questions, mostly about their day to day commitments in being professional rugby players and what it is like to wear the red of Munster.

Camp places are available for boys and girls from 6 years old to 12 years old. Each camp takes place over one week (Monday through to Friday inclusive) between 9:30am and 1:30pm. Each participant will receive an Official Summer Camp Pack comprising an Adidas Summer Camp T-Shirt, Adidas Shorts, Adidas Socks, Adidas Draw-String Bag, Mouth Guard, one Junior ticket to a Munster pre-season match and a Summer Camp Attendance Certificate.

Next week’s camps will be held in Dungarvan, Nenagh and Newcastle West rugby clubs. To book a place online please click here or for further information please email camps@munsterrugby.ie
