UCC Book Semi Final Spot

University College Cork are through to the semi finals of the ODM Munster Senior Cup where they will meet holders Cork Constitution after a 27-20 victory over Old Crescent under the lights at Rosbrien.

College raced into a 13-0 lead with a try from Joe Holland and a conversion and two penalties from Sean Og Murphy. Kevin Meade kicked a penalty for the home side who trailed 13-3 at half time.

Shane Mullally crossed for a Crescent try early in the second half but Ned Hodson replied with a second College try and Murphy converted for a 20-8 advantage.

Donal Murphy brought Crescent to within seven points with a try but College skipper Brian Quill extended his side’s lead with a try which Murphy converted.

Garrett Quinn-McDonogh scored Crescent’s third try and Mullally converted.
