East Munster Season Update

As we approach the second weekend in November competition is beginning to heat up in East Munster Leagues across all age groups.

In the Under 18 League in Section A Clanwilliam are in first place with there wins from three games and they travel to Carrick on Suir on Sunday hoping to cement first place and a home quarter final.

There is a tie for second place behind them with both Clonmel and Waterford City on 6 points a-piece with both having won two of their first four league matches. Clonmel travel to Waterford City on Sunday in a game that will decide who gets the other home quarter final place from this group. Dungarvan host Fethard in this section's remaining game and a win for either side will clinch a quarter final place.

In Section B Waterpark have qualified in first place of the quarter finals after four wins from their opening four league games while there is a three way tie for second place with Nenagh, Galbally and Thurles all having won two of their four games played to this point.

The final round of games in the Under 14 League are also scheduled to be played this weekend. In Section A the top two sides will face off when Kilfeacle travel up to North Tipperary to take on a so far undefeated Nenagh side. Thurles host Cashel and Clanwilliam travel to Galbally in the remaining games in this section. The top two sides will also face off in Section B when the unbeaten Waterpark travel to Fethard in a top of the table clash. Waterpark have clinched first place while a win for Fethard will guarantee them a home quarter final however a win for Waterpark and either or both of Carrick on Suir and Waterford City win against Clonmel and Dungarvan respectively then a playoff for second place may be required.
