Zebo And Nagle Show Support For Broadford
13th November 2013 By Munster Rugby
Munster players Simon Zebo and Ian Nagle recently stopped off on their way to Thomond Park to help out with the opening of Broadford Playground.
The players were en route to the RaboDirect PRO12 clash between Munster and Ospreys when they stopped off to attend the opening.
Neither player was involved in the match due to injury and, despite the cold weather, received a warm welcome from the local community before cutting the ribbon to officially open the new facility.
The locals turned out in force to support the opening and the players were happy to pose for photographs and sign autographs.
The playground was developed with the support of grant aid of over €;137,000 from West Limerick Resources under the Rural Development Programme.
There is still a shortfall of almost €;30,000 to be raised and Broadford Community Development is now planning a series of fundraising events and are seeking the community’s support in their efforts.
