Sherry Faces Lengthy Spell On Sidelines
6th December 2013 By Munster Rugby
Mike Sherry is expected to miss the next six months after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The hooker will undergo surgery once the swelling goes down on the injury sustained against Newport Gwent Dragons last weekend.
Sherry had enjoyed a productive start to the season having featured in 10 games for Munster and the Irish international will be hoping for a speedy recovery.
It’s better news for Gerhard van den Heever as the hand injury he picked up in the same game is not as bad as first feared. The South African is expected to make a return to training over the Christmas period.
