CBC Host PBC In Charity Match Under Lights

Christian Brothers College senior side will host their Presentation Brothers College counterparts in the Brother O’Reilly Cup this Friday, 13th December at 7.15pm in Lansdowne, Cork.

This will be the first match under lights for the Sidney Hill side who recently opened their new stand with all proceeds donated to L’Arche Cork.

Both sides are currently preparing for their respective Munster Schools Senior Cup campaigns which will commence in February 2014.

Speaking ahead of the event, Dr. Laurence A. Jordan, CBC Principal said “The Charity Cup game is a longstanding tradition between the two great rugby playing schools in Cork. We are very proud of the development works carried out at our home grounds in Lansdowne and we invite all CBC and PBC past and present pupils, and indeed the entire Cork rugby community to attend the match.”

“CBC has a longstanding tradition of supporting charitable causes in Cork and the Brother O’Reilly Cup match follows in that tradition with all gate receipts donated directly to L’Arche Cork.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish both sides an enjoyable rugby season ahead.”
