Munster A Host Plymouth In Waterford This Friday
10th December 2013 By Munster Rugby
Munster A face Plymouth Albion at Waterford’s Regional Sports Centre this Friday in the British and Irish Cup (ko 7:30pm).
A win would move Munster A level on points with Friday’s opponents at the top of Pool 4 in the British and Irish Cup.
Peter Malone’s side will be desperate to bounce back after their first defeat of the season away to Plymouth last Friday.
The English side have lost their last three games in the Championship but have saved their best form for the B&I Cup with three victories from three games so far.
Their most recent win came against Munster A last weekend on a 17-7 scoreline at Brickfields.
Fijian international Sam Matavesi and Tom Bowen were the try-scorers for Plymouth on the night with the solitary Munster A try coming from Ronan O’Mahony and converted by Johnny Holland.
It’s three years since Munster A last played in the Waterford venue and Head Coach Peter Malone is looking forward to bringing his side to the Regional Sports Centre.
“We played there a few years ago and it’s a great facility, it’s a nice little stadium with a sports track around it so it’s a good environment to play in.”
“The pitch is absolutely perfect there, it’s nice to play in different venues and bring the game to different parts of the province so we’re looking forward to that.”
Tickets can be purchased online here and will also be available at the gate on the night.
