Munster XV Named For Leinster

The Munster women, sponsored by Keane’s Jewellers, have named their squad to face Leinster this Saturday, 14th December at Thomond Park (kick-off 1pm) in their final match of this season’s Interprovincial series.

Munster will set out to defend their title in a winner takes all showdown against an experienced Leinster side that also remain undefeated in this year’s championship.

The home side will start with a change in the centre partnership from last week’s win over Ulster which sees Highfield’s Nicola Scully moving from 13 to 12 and Laura O’Mahony from Tralee coming off the bench to start at 13 ahead of Highfield’s Ger Rea.

UL Bohemian’s Claire Keohane continues at full-back to replace her club colleague Niamh Briggs who sustained an injury during Munster’s opening game against Connacht.

Gill Bourke, UL Bohemian, will start at hooker in place of Kate Sheehan, also from UL Bohemian, who is named on the bench.

Highfield’s Amy O’Callaghan comes into the squad in place of the injured Aine Staunton from UL Bohemian.
