Shannon Maintain Recent Good Run

Shannon maintained their position in the top half of Division 1B of the Ulster Bank League when beating Dublin University in atrocious conditions of wind and rain at Coonagh.

Shannon 20, Dublin University 5;
Tadg Bennett landed a third minute penalty to put the home side in front but they were behind four minutes later when Brian Du Toit had a try for the visitors.
Gearoid Lyons had a try which Bennett converted and he also landed a penalty to make it 13-5 in Shannon's favour at half time.
Approaching full time David O'Donovan had Shannon's second try which Bennett again converted.
