Six Munster Schools Players Selected For Ireland

Joe Ring, John Poland, Paul Kiernan, Shane Fenton, Sean O’Connor and Alan McMahon have been named in the Ireland U18 Schools squad to face an Ireland U18 Clubs side at the end of the month.

Presentation Brothers, Cork leads the way for Munster schools with three players named in the squad – Ring, Poland and Kiernan. Ard Scoil Ris (Fenton) and Rockwell College (O'Connor and McMahon) are also represented.

Paul Kiernan is the son of Michael Kiernan the 43 time capped Irish centre who toured with the Lions in 1983.

The Ireland Schools U18s take on the Ireland Club U18 at 12.30pm on 30th December at Asbourne RFC. There is no entrance fee for this match.
