Driving Elite Performance: The Munster Way

On Saturday 1st February 2014 at 9am, Munster Rugby will host a one day Strength & Conditioning Conference in association with the Mardyke Arena, University College Cork.

The conference aims to attract all coaches involved in Strength and Conditioning across all sports codes from underage to senior level. The conference will highlight the significance of strength and conditioning at all levels of rugby focusing on how coaches can cope with the demands of their players.

This 'Driving Elite Performance The Munster Way' seminar will be theory based with breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon. These will include topics including (a) Strength and Speed training at Munster Rugby – an integrated model (b) Conditioning at Munster Rugby (c) The technical side of Speed and (d) Training the Age Grade Player.

Tutors on the day will include Munster Rugby professional squad coaches Aled Walters (Acting Head of Fitness), Aidan O'Connell (Strength & Conditioning Coach), Feargal O'Callaghan (Head of Age Grade Strength & Conditioning and Strength & Conditioning Education) as well as many other guest speakers.

Tea/Coffee and Lunch will be provided for all attendees and this is inclusive of the Conference fee for the day. An early bird rate of €;75 is available until the 10th January 2014 and the full rate of €;85 applies thereafter.
