Munster A In St. Mary’s Next Friday

Munster A are back in action next Friday night when they host Nottingham at St. Mary’s RFC in the British and Irish Cup (ko 7:30pm).

Peter Malone’s side will be desperate to keep the pressure on Pool 4 leaders Plymouth Albion who are level on points with Munster A but lead the group thanks to their superior points difference.

When the A side travelled to Nottingham earlier in the pool stages they came away with a dramatic 17-16 win as Johnny Holland showed great composure to land a final minute conversion after Rory Scannell’s late try.

Nottingham lie third-bottom of the English Championship but are still in contention to qualify for the B&I Cup quarter finals as back-to-back bonus-point wins against Stirling County have left them just three points off the joint leaders.

Munster A were last in action against Plymouth at Waterford’s RSC last month with Ronan O’Mahony and CJ Stander touching down in a 23-9 win.

The format for the B&I Cup is the same as the Heineken Cup with the six Pool winners and the top two second-placed sides qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Adult tickets can be purchased online here and will also be available at the gate on the night.
