In Pics: Heineken Cup – Gloucester v Munster
12th January 2014 By Munster Rugby
Munster are on the way to their 15th Heineken Cup quarter final, whether that is home or away is another matter, but next weekend’s final round action should not be missed!
Check out the photos captured at Saturday's sold out Kingsholm where the travelling Munster support once again showed up in numbers and in full voice.
The red army were fully commited to the task at hand and once again played their part in helping Munster to a pool topping 20-7 victory against Gloucester.
Post match Head Coach Rob Penney spoke ot the quarter final possibilties and the importance of the Munster support. "There is an opportunity there, with things happening in the competition, and all of a sudden there is a glimmer of hope given the position we’re in. But first of all we need to get the win against a tough Edinburgh side to secure that, and some results would have to go for us as well!
We would love to see a full Thomond Park next week at home supporting the lads because we would love to get a quarter final at home in front of our own support.
Next Sunday should be an exciting afternoon and the Munster supporters have been fantastic in getting there early on those difficult days and really cheering the boys home. The boys really love it so hopefully we will get a really good bunch of people down next Sunday."
