Weekend Preview And Fixtures

The Munster Junior League continues with a full program of games across all three divisions on Saturday.

At Temple Hill Cork Constitution will defend their All Ireland Bateman Cup title with the visit of Ulster Cup winners Queens University.
The Belfast students are chasing promotion from Division 2A but they should find the home side a handful and Con’ should book their place in the decider.

The game of the day in Division 1 of the Munster Junior League sees leaders Kanturk taking on third-placed Newcastle West at the Duhallow venue. The home side will be looking to extend their lead with a maximum point home win, while the West Limerick side will have their work cut out as they aim to overtake St Mary’s in second place.

Muskerry will be looking to make the most of home advantage count in their bid to avoid the drop as they entertain fellow strugglers Galbally at Ballyanly, while the County Limerick side will be aiming to build on last week’s away win over Old Christians.

Bottom side Mallow face a tricky task as they travel to the Premier County to take on Clonmel.

Kilfeacle are at home to Waterpark with both sides aiming to preserve their top flight status for another year.

Clonakilty play near neighbours Skibbereen in a West Cork derby and Tralee welcome Old Christians to O’Dowd Park in a mid-table clash.

Division 2 leaders St Senan’s will be looking to extend their lead as they take on Youghal at Jimmy Slattery Park.

Thurles and Bandon go head to head at the Tipperary venue with both sides putting their outside promotion challenges on the line.

Crosshaven make the long trip to the Banner County to take on fellow strugglers Ennis and the South Cork side are looking to avoid second successive e relegation.

Castleisland are at home to Presentation in a mid-table encounter and Killorglin make the long trip to Kilbarry to take on Waterford City.

Dungarvan, who are joint leaders in Division 3 with Ballincollig, will be aiming to keep their unbeaten run intact as they take on newcomers Carrigaline at the West Waterford venue.

Abbeyfeale travel to East Clare to take on Scariff and must win to stay in contention for promotion.

Carrick-on-Suir play their first Junior League game under lights as they entertain Charleville in a mid-table encounter at Tybroughney with a 7:00 pm kick-off.

Two sides still seeking their first victory in the League campaign Dunmanway-Bantry Bay and Kilrush lock horns in a basement clash at Dunmanway.
