Munster secured a home quarter-final in the Heineken Cup yesterday with Munster A qualifying for the last eight of the B&I Cup on Saturday.

The bonus-point win against Edinburgh secured a home quarter-final against Toulouse at the beginning of April and Head Coach Rob Penney was delighted with the performance:

“This team is getting better and better all the time and more confident,” he said.

“I’m just so pleased for the lads that they’re able to come away from what could have been a potential disaster at Edinburgh and win five in a row and get themselves into the top four of the championship. No mean feat really,” Penney added.

Munster A are on the road for their B&I Cup quarter-final but Peter Malone’s side will hold no fear having lost just once so far this season.
