Semi-Final Opposition Confirmed

Munster will travel to the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille on Sunday April 27th where they will face the reigning Heineken Cup champions Toulon in the Heineken Cup semi-final.

Toulon recorded a 29-14 victory against Leinster today at Stade Mayol, securing their semi-final place and a show-down with Munster on French soil at the end of the month.

Munster, who recorded a six-try 47-23 victory against Toulouse yesterday in Thomond Park have qualified for their eleventh Heineken Cup semi-final.

Both sides last met in the 2010/11 Heineken Cup pool stages when Munster were knocked out of the competition after a 32-16 defeat at Stade Mayol.

The Stade Vélodrome in Marseille is a 41000 capacity stadium and will host the semi-final on Sunday April 27th at 4.30pm (3.30 Irish time).

The Heineken Cup semi finals are managed by ERC with the competing clubs receiving an equal allocation of tickets which the ERC will confirm once all commitments are finalised.

As always these tickets will be distributed through the Munster Rugby Clubs and the Munster Rugby Supporters Club.
