Season Wrap-Up
27th May 2014 By Munster Rugby
Most of the Munster squad are into their final week of gym training with Emerging Ireland players continuing into next week as they prepare for the IRB Nations Cup in Romania.
Before going their separate ways for the summer break, the Munster squad and management gathered in Cork last week for lunch and end of season presentations.
The informal season wrap-up saw Damien Varley and Niall Ronan presented with their embroidered caps having made their 100th Munster Rugby appearances during the season. Varley won his 100th cap against Newport Gwent Dragons in September 2013 at Musgrave Park, while Ronan became a centurion in the same month, away to Zebre at the Stadio XXV Aprile.
The second order of business was to honour departing players. A screening of their Munster Rugby career highlights, provided by Performance Analyst George Murray, preceded a gift presentation and a few words of thanks and best wishes from nominated colleagues.
