In Pics & Video: Munster v Edinburgh
8th September 2014 By Munster Rugby
Munster opened their Guinness PRO12 campaign with a disappointing defeat at home to Edinburgh on Friday night.
Despite a chance to steal victory at the death with an Ian Keatley long-range penalty the one point defeat to a well organised Edinburgh side was "deserved" for the overall performance and lack of physicality according to Head Coach Anthony Foley.
"We didn’t bring ourselves out onto the field, and it was an absolute physically poor performance. This will hurt and we will learn from it.
"We’ve got to get our heads into this competition,” he said. “If we can get off the ground running again next week and address one or two of the issues, there’s no reason why we can’t go to Treviso and get a result.
“It will be difficult. It has been difficult in the past, it’s something we understand but we still need to train with an intensity and a knowledge of where we need to improve."
