5 Reasons To Make The Thomond Trip.
17th September 2014 By Munster Rugby
Munster v Zebre in Round 3 of the Guinness PRO12 at Thomond Park this Friday night is the best possible way to kick-off your weekend, and here’s 5 reasons why!

Friday night’s game will not be televised. So the only way to see the game is first-hand from the revered stands and terraces of Thomond Park. Cheer on Anthony Foley’s men as they look to build on an impressive performance last time out and secure their first home win of the season.
2. Look who’s back!
This weekend will see the remaining returning internationals make their season debut in the red jersey. Summer tourists to Argentina with the national side – Irish captain Paul O’Connell, Conor Murray and Dave Kilcoyne are on course to make their return to Thomond Park, as are Emerging Ireland representatives JJ Hanrahan and Paddy Butler.

5. Because Axel says so!!
Speaking to media during the week, the Head Coach asked the fans to show their support for Munster in Thomond Park this Friday night.
“Hopefully we can build on the momentum from Treviso last weekend and take that forward. The most important thing for us is Zebre this weekend. We want an intimidating atmosphere, we want the supporters to come out and support us. We need that. We need to build a fortress there again. We have had a few back to back poor results there that we need to rectify and that has to happen between the white lines, but the help can come from the terraces and I think that’s important going forward, that we start to build momentum in Thomond Park.”
