Casey Takes On Sleep Out Challenge

Casey Takes On Sleep Out Challenge

Dave Foley and Alan Cotter ‘tuck in’ Duncan Casey for his ‘Moving on Together Sleep Out Challenge’, to help raise much needed funds for the Mid West Simon.

The Munster forwards pledged their support to the charity, who in partnership with The Clare Champion, Limerick Leader and Tipperary Star hope to raise €;100,000 for the ‘Hidden Homeless’.

You do not see the Hidden Homeless; they do not live on the street, but instead live by moving from friend to friend, relative to relative, never calling a place home, but always saying thank you. This image may not fit the stereotype but every community has a homeless person, even if they are not on the street.

Falling into mortgage arrears, unemployment, illness or another crisis can affect a family or individual, and the risk of becoming homeless can very quickly become reality, with many just one crisis away from becoming homeless or at risk of homelessness.

This is your chance to support friends, family and neighbours.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Sleep Out at one of four venues (Limerick, Ennis, Kilrush & Thurles) and raise a minimum of €;250.00
  • Or Sponsor a cot bunk of €;150.00
  • Or a box for a €;100.00

For more information see www.midwestsimon.ie and their Facebook page.
