Champions Cup Referees Appointed

The referee appointments for Rounds 3 and 4 of the European Champions Cup have been confirmed.

England’s Wayne Barnes will officiate as Munster welcome Clermont Auvergne to Thomond Park next Saturday, while Wales’ Nigel Owens will take charge of the return fixture the following Sunday at the Stade Marcel Michelin.

Munster referees George Clancy, Peter Fitzgibbon and John Lacey are all in European action.

Fitzgibbon will oversee Benetton Treviso v Northampton Saints in Round 3.

Lacey will officiate Toulouse v Glasgow Warriors in Round 3 and Wasps v Castres Olympique in Round 4.

While Clancy will take charge of Castres Olympique v Wasps in Round 3 and RC Toulon v Leicester Tigers in Round 4.
