Latest Video & Pics: Munster A V Worcester
8th December 2014 By Munster Rugby
Action shots and video highlights of Munster ‘A’s 18-23 defeat to Worcester Warriors on Friday night in Round 5 of the British & Irish Cup at CIT.
A tough weekend of competitive action for the province saw two consecutive defeats in the British & Irish Cup and European Champions Cup respectively.
Munster ‘A’ went into Friday night’s fixture at the CIT Sports Stadium hoping to avenge a 27-23 away loss to Warriors in October and with a good opening 40 which included tries from captain Jack O’Donoghue and full-back Andrew Conway seemed on course to do just that – 15-6 at the break.
However Warriors were still to hit their stride, but once they did, superior physicality saw them retain possession and make better use of ball in hand. Tries from scrum half JB Bruzulier and replacement scrum half Charlie Mulchrone together with the boot of Ignacio Mieres saw them extend their tally to 23 points, handing them their fifth win from five games in Pool 3 of the B&I Cup.
With Pool 3 victory now secure for Warriors, Munster ‘A’ will hope to secure qualification for the knock-out stages of the B&I Cup as a best runner up.
The province travel to face Moseley at Billesley Common next Saturday afternoon in Round 6 – KO 2pm.
