Squad Update
9th December 2014 By Munster Rugby
After a bruising encounter against Clermont on Saturday night in Thomond Park the squad gathered in their respective centres today as preparations continued for the return-leg of the back-to-back fixtures.
Gerhard van den Heever will not be available for selection this weekend after sustaining a knee injury on Saturday night, while Dave Kilcoyne (also knee), will continue to be assessed by the medical staff.
Kilcoyne's replacement James Cronin, who finished the game, is under medical review after taking a knock to his shoulder while Robin Copeland, Paddy Butler, Eusebio Guinazu and Andrew Smith will all continue to integrate in to training this week.
It has also been confirmed that Alan Cotter, who sustained a torn bicep when playing for Munster A against Nottingham in the BI& Cup, underwent surgery in Dublin yesterday.
The B&I Cup squad play their final round game on Saturday away to Moseley at 2pm while the Champions Cup squad will depart for France the same day as they take on Clermont Auvergne in round 4 on Sunday December 14th at 4.15pm (3.15pm Irish time).
