A 33-10 defeat for Munster saw the hosts run in three tries – the first from Chris Wyles and two from fellow winger Chris Ashton. Owen Farrell was also on hand to land all three conversions and four of five penalties.

For Munster, Ian Keatley maintained his impressive placekicking form – kicking one penalty and converting a Denis Hurley try late into the second half.

The game also saw Duncan Williams make his first European start and Ronan O’Mahony make his first European appearance, while Keith Earls won his 100^th cap for the province.
