Sharks Sunday Showdown

Get behind the team this Sunday as Munster look to right the wrongs of last weekend and return to winning ways at Thomond Park in their final European Champions Cup game of the season.

Munster will need that improved performance if they are to achieve such a result against the ever threatening Sale Sharks. Last time out – in Round 1 – Munster required all of their European experience and knowhow to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, overcoming a 23-7 half time deficit to win by a single point through the boot of Ian Keatley in the final play of the game. The Aviva Premiership outfit will be no less formidable this weekend.

The encounter promises to serve up a fiercely contested battle following recent European defeats for both sides. And, in front of home fans, Munster will want to end their Champions Cup campaign with a performance that is more befitting of their ability and European history.

The game will also mark the final Munster involvement for international representatives until after the upcoming 6 Nations.
