Lanzarote Training Camp

30th January 2015 By Munster Rugby

Lanzarote Training Camp

A Munster squad of 29 players will tomorrow fly out to Lanzarote for a six day warm-weather strength and conditioning camp.

With no competitive action scheduled until February 14th (against Cardiff Blues in the PRO12), the squad will use the break in game-time to focus on strength and conditioning at Club La Santa in Lanzarote.

Not for the first time the squad travels to Club La Santa, and with a complex specialising in training camps for field-sport teams, tri-athletes and swimming teams, Munster S&C staff will have the pick of facilities, and for the most part the weather, as they prepare the team for the next block of Guinness PRO12 encounters.

With a number of senior players currently on international duty, the squad along with a number of academy representatives will head to the warm-weather camp.

Tomorrow’s travelling squad: Duncan Casey, John Ryan, Dave Kilcoyne, Stephen Archer, BJ Botha, Niall Scannell, Kevin O’Byrne, Eusebio Guinazu, Billy Holland, Donnacha Ryan, Donncha O’Callaghan, Dave O’Callaghan, Paddy Butler, Robin Copeland, Sean Dougall, Shane Buckley, Jack O’Donoghue.

Duncan Williams, Cathal Sheridan, JJ Hanrahan, Denis Hurley, Ivan Dineen, Andrew Smith, Tyler Bleyendaal, Andrew Conway, Luke O’Dea, Ronan O’Mahony, Rory Scannell, Darren Sweetnam.

Munster return to competitive action, and play their first PRO12 game at the redeveloped Irish Independent Park in Cork, on Valentine’s Day against Cardiff Blues.

Tickets from €;15 and Family Packs from €;40 are available to buy online here, from the Munster Rugby Ticket Offices in Irish Independent Park and Thomond Park or by calling 0818 719300.
