Saturday Night Lights For Warriors

Saturday Night Lights For Warriors

Don’t miss your chance to cheer on Munster in Cork next weekend at the newly redeveloped Irish Independent Park. Less than 3,000 tickets remain as Munster get set to host the current Guinness PRO12 table toppers Glasgow Warriors in Round 16 of the competition.

While this weekend’s focus lies solely with Scarlets, come the full-time whistle in Llanelli tomorrow, Anthony Foley’s men will quickly turn their attentions towards Warriors as they chase their first victory over the Scotsmen since October 2013.

Munster, like their visitors, will look to further consolidate their chances of a play-off position by securing a win next weekend. Last time out in Cork, fans were treated to an impressive ‘heads-up’ display of rugby that netted the province three tries and a comprehensive 33-16 win over the Cardiff Blues.

Foley’s charges will want to, and need to, replicate such a performance if they are to avenge three consecutive defeats to Warriors, one of which was last season’s PRO12 semi-final.

The game will also mark the official opening of the newly redeveloped Irish Independent Park with Simon Coveney TD Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine in attendance to cut the ribbon.
