Vacancy: Munster Academy S&C Lead

Munster Rugby is currently accepting applications for the role of Academy S&C Lead.
The Academy S & C Lead will coordinate and deliver strength and conditioning support for the Munster Academy and Sub Academy. They will coordinate and deliver fitness testing according to the IRFU test protocols and timetable for the Munster Academy and Sub Academy and will contribute to the overall performance of the Munster Fitness department across all levels of delivery. This role will be based in Limerick, however, the successful candidate may be required to travel regularly both within Ireland and abroad.
This is a 2 year fixed term position and the successful candidate will have:
Essential:
- Recognised degree or Higher National Diploma in Physical Education, Human Movement or Sports Science.
- A recognised Professional certification strength and conditioning.
- A minimum of 3 years full-time experience in professional rugby environment.
- A verifiable record of programme design and delivery of physical development programmes for adolescent and adult rugby players.
- An understanding of training science and data management as these pertain to current strength and conditioning practices in high performance sport.
- Practical coaching experience across all the elements of high performance strength and conditioning.
- Effective time management and the proven ability to work independently.
- The ability to work within a team and coordinate both full-time and part-time Strength and Conditioning colleagues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent Computer literacy skills.
- Eligibility to work within the EU is essential
