Highfield Into All-Ireland Cup Final

The Highfield women’s team completed a remarkable feat last weekend as they reached the All-Ireland Cup final for the fourth year in a row.

Their 12-5 semi-final win over UL Bohemians set up a final meeting with Railway Union next week with Highfield hoping to lift their second All-Ireland Cup in four years.

The Cork side lost out in the 2012 final to Galwegians but went on to lift the trophy after a win over last week’s opponents UL Bohs in 2013.

Last year they were beaten by Galwegians again and the rising stars of Railway Union will provide stiff opposition.

Shannon are in the running to reach the All-Ireland Plate final as they play Rathdrum in the semi-final with the winners set to face Old Belvedere's J1 side.

The finals are scheduled for Saturday, March 28 in St. Mary's College RFC, Templeville Road.
