In Pics: Training For Treviso
22nd April 2015 By Munster Rugby
The Munster squad continued their preparations for Treviso in Irish Independent Park yesterday with the returning internationals acquainting themselves with their new surroundings in the redeveloped Cork venue.
Head Coach Anthony Foley met with press after the session and spoke about Munster's break in game-time with no involvement in Europe last weekend. “It obviously gives you time for preparation, but you like a flow to your season and you would like to be playing week in, week out. But look, we obviously got what we deserved, so we are where we are at the moment, so we have to make sure we are properly prepared for Treviso.
"They are going to be very physical, they are going to come over and try to upset us at set-piece, and at breakdown time. We’ve got to be physical over the ball, and be very stingy with the use of ball as well."
When asked about the next three rounds Foley was quick to dismiss that the squad are looking beyond this weekend's encounter. "The danger might be that other people are looking to the final games, we are not. We are firmly focused on Treviso. Obviously with the week on/week off situation, there’s no point looking anywhere else, we’ve got to make sure that we get our job done this weekend.
"Treviso are a very good side, and they have upset a number of teams so far this year. You only have to look a couple of weeks back to their game against Ospreys, where it was nip and tuck for long periods of the game, and they were unlucky with the scoreline.
"We understand what’s facing us. It’s important that people come here and support us, and make sure that we get full value for the home advantage."
