Form Teams To Meet In Final

Munster face a daunting task on Saturday with the in-form Glasgow Warriors standing in their way of a first PRO12 title since 2011 at Kingspan Stadium (KO 6:30pm).

That win over Leinster at Thomond Park four years ago clinched Munster's third PRO12 title and was their most recent appearance in a major final.

Glasgow are bidding to become the first Scottish side to carry off the Guinness PRO12 title, and are playing in a second successive final following their defeat to Leinster at the RDS Arena 12 months ago.

The Warriors solitary defeat in their last seven PRO12 encounters was 21-10 at Ospreys on May 8 and they have lost just two of their nine fixtures with Irish provinces this season – at Ulster in October and at Irish Independent Park in February.

Neither side have a good record at the home of Ulster Rugby. The Scotsmen's only victory at Kingspan Stadium in their last six visits was a 13-12 win over hosts Ulster in September 2013 while Munster have triumphed only once in their last eight visits to Belfast.

The Munstermen are unbeaten in their last six Guinness PRO12 encounters, since losing 26-12 at Ospreys in round 17 – their only defeat in the tournament since New Year's Day.

Munster's 22-10 victory over the Warriors in Cork in round 16 ended a three game losing run to the Scotsmen, including a 16-15 reversal at Scotstoun in last season's semi-final.

The game will be refereed by Nigel Owens and will be broadcast live on TG4, Sky Sports and BBC Scotland.

This game will also see the HawkEye System in operation again, as part of trials with Sky Sports and World Rugby.
