This summer also sees the departure of Alan Cotter, Barry O’Mahony and Martin Kelly.
Barry O’Mahony
A native of Limerick and brother of winger Ronan, O’Mahony joined the Munster squad on a Development Contract in the summer of 2012 after impressive displays with Clontarf in the AIL and equally impressive performances with the Ireland Club XV side.
A member of the Munster ‘A’ side that won the 2012 British & Irish Cup, O’Mahony went on to make four senior appearances for Munster, the last of which came against Cardiff Blues in February 2014. An ankle injury sustained during training curtailed much of his involvement this season.
Alan Cotter
A former St Munchin’s player and product of the Munster Rugby Academy, Cotter also featured in 2012’s B&I Cup winning campaign with Munster ‘A’ before making five senior appearances for the province. His last Munster cap came against Newport-Gwent Dragons in November with a bicep injury keeping him out of contention for much of the second half of the season.
Martin Kelly
The Dublin University clubman represented Leinster ‘A’ last season and joined Munster on a one year Development Contract last summer. However, injury would also restrict Kelly’s involvement with the prop making two appearances for Munster ‘A’ in the B&I Cup against Nottingham and Worcester Warriors respectively.
