New adidas Home & Alternate Kit Revealed

adidas and Munster Rugby have officially revealed the club’s new 2015/2016 home and alternate kits. The home kit will be worn for the first time when Munster take on Grenoble in a pre-season friendly game at Thomond Park on Friday August 14th.

adidas is setting new standards in Rugby apparel with a consistent design that can be seen across all of adidas Rugby assets in the Rugby World Cup season, including All Blacks, FFR, and Munster Rugby.

The home and alternate jerseys embrace the rebirth of the provincial tartan and conceptualises the close link between Munster Rugby and the six counties of Munster: Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford through the tartan design which is carried throughout.

The home jersey (pictured below) embodies a deeper, enriched mix of power and collegiate red. The names of the six Munster counties are featured in the nape of the military style collar with the club motto, ‘To the Brave and Faithful Nothing is Impossible’ embroidered into the inside neck of the jersey.

The alternate jersey (pictured below) takes a more modern approach to the provincial tartan with black, dark grey and onix colouring standing bold against the bright red of the logos and jersey numbering. As per the home jersey, the alternate kit also features the club motto in the nape of the military style collar along with the names of the six Munster counties.

Both kits feature the latest in adidas performance technologies, including CLIMACOOL. This is a combination of performance fabrics, open mesh and ventilation channels to keep cool air flowing in ensuring that the players stay dry and comfortable while also allowing them to perform at their highest level, even in the most heated of competitions.

The jersey is available to pre-order online here and will be in-store from July 25th in selected Life Style Sports Stores and online at www.lifestylesports.com/munster
