Injury Ends O’Donnell’s World Cup Dream
10th August 2015 By Munster Rugby
Following an injury to his hip sustained in Ireland’s win against Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday, the IRFU have this afternoon confirmed that Munster’s Tommy O’Donnell has been ruled out of contention for next month’s Rugby World Cup.
Investigations at University Hospital Wales yesterday afternoon confirmed that Tommy suffered a hip dislocation in the game against Wales. He will be limited to non-weight bearing activity for at least 6 weeks and has unfortunately been ruled out of participating in RWC15.
Meanwhile, Ulster winger Andrew Trimble will have a precautionary scan on the foot injury he sustained on Saturday.
