PRO12 Returns To Thomond
23rd September 2015 By Munster Rugby
Next Friday sees last season’s Guinness PRO12 finalists go head to head when Munster welcome Glasgow Warriors to Thomond Park for Round 3 of the Guinness PRO12, and following the game, fans can also savour the excitement of the Rugby World Cup at our screening of New Zealand versus Georgia.
After suffering their first Scotstoun defeat since November 2013 at the hands of Scarlets in Round 1, Warriors bounced back a week later, overcoming a strong second half onslaught from Connacht to defeat the Irish province by a single point (33-32). Gregor Townsend’s men will now look to continue winning ways next weekend, having also emerged victorious on their last trip to Thomond in April of last year.
A strong showing in the league to date has seen Munster make it two wins from two against Treviso and Ospreys, the latter just their fourth win at the Liberty Stadium in thirteen games. Their first encounter in Thomond last season saw Munster suffer defeat to Edinburgh and Foley’s charges will not want to endure a similar fate this time round, especially as they look to avenge last season’s PRO12 Final defeat to Warriors.
Be there to cheer on Munster as they return to competitive action in Limerick, plus, following the game, join us in Thomond Park’s Dugout Bar for a World Cup After Party where the meeting of New Zealand and Georgia will be screened live.
Tickets from just €;20 for Adults and €;7 for Juniors can be purchased online here, from the Munster Rugby Ticket Offices at Irish Independent Park and Thomond Park, or by calling 0818 719 300.
