Video: Earls Sets New Irish Record At RWC
5th October 2015 By Munster Rugby
In celebration of Keith Earls eclipsing Brian O’Driscoll in becoming Ireland’s leading try scorer at the Rugby World Cup, we showcase the Munster flyer’s eight tries across eight tournament appearances.
Last Sunday week, the 28 year old touched down in each half during Ireland's 44-10 bonus point victory over Romania – his third Rugby World Cup double after braces against Russia and Italy in 2011 – to draw him level with former team-mate Brian O'Driscoll on seven RWC tries.
The Myross-man subsequently broke the record in crossing for Ireland’s only try of yesterday’s game against Italy, having also crossed in Ireland's quarter-final defeat to Wales in 2011.
