Speaking to media before training in UL yesterday Head Coach Anthony Foley spoke about current form and the challenge of playing our northern counterparts this weekend. "We are in a difficult place at the moment and it's hard for everyone involved but it’s important we get some momentum back in our game and don’t feel sorry for ourselves.

"We can’t hide from our performances and we need to build on what’s good from last week and eliminate what’s bad.

"Ulster are going really well at the moment, playing with a lot of confidence. They went to Toulouse and got a win there and then went to the Sportsground a week later where they did the same in a tight affair.

"They are building momentum under Les Kiss and Neil Doak and it’s going to be a hard ask for the boys but we need to respect them, and also respect ourselves and go after a good result for ourselves."

Looking ahead to the Interprovincial derby Tomás O’Leary noted the good run of form Ulster have experienced and said, “It’s a great challenge ahead when looking to travel to Kingspan Stadium, a great place to play, with a great atmosphere. It’s an exciting prospect and one we’re looking forward to.

In referring to recent results and momentum the scrumhalf added, “At times when you are low, or at times when you are struggling you just have to keep believing in yourself and in your team.

"We’ve got a good bunch of lads here with everyone trying their heart out and I know we haven’t produced the goods as players but I do believe we will, and hopefully it will be seen this weekend.”
