A lifelong Munster fan, Thomas Kellegher, from Ballylongford in Co. Kerry, has been living in Brisbane for the past five years. Thomas’ step dad entered a Life Style Sports competition to send a Munster jersey along with a personalised message from the team to a loved one living abroad as part of the new international delivery service. Unbeknownst to him, his heartfelt entry, outlining his son’s #MunsterSupport would be the start of something special and a surprise like no other.
Thomas was contacted in secret and the wheels were set in motion for his trip home to Thomond Park where, to the complete surprise of his family, he was reunited with them in the Munster Rugby dressing room and a holiday like no other.
Mr Kellegher commented, “We were so thrilled to have Thomas home for the holidays. On his last trip home we went shopping and he bought a Munster jersey, something he wears with great pride now in Australia. All we wanted was to get him a new jersey but to have him arrive home was the surprise of a lifetime.”
Thomas commented, “This has been an epic journey for me. To come home and surprise my family in Thomond Park is just the stuff of dreams. Thanks to everyone at Munster Rugby and Life Style Sports for making this an experience we’ll never forget.”
