In Pics: Preparing For Treviso

Munster play their round 6 European Champions Cup game against Treviso at Stadio Mongio on Sunday January 24th, ko 2pm (1pm Irish/UK).

Sunday's encounter will see Munster play their 150th game in European Cup rugby and in looking ahead to the game and Italian opposition Head Coach Anthony Foley stressed, “We have to turn up in Treviso.

“It’s going to be a hot atmosphere over there with Treviso also playing their last game in Europe this year and it’s about us going over there and having massive respect for them.

“They have beaten a lot of big sides at home in round six of Europe over a number of seasons and we don’t want to be another name on the wall as a team defeated in Europe.

“We have to make sure we are properly prepared, mentally be in the right place, and have the ability to go and play to try and win the game.”

Billy Holland, who started at number 6 last weekend, added, “We took a step forward last weekend but we need to build on that this weekend over in Treviso.

“We need to get a balance right every weekend so we need to show some consistency on Sunday.

“We recently took a step forward against Ulster and then took two steps backwards, so we can’t let that happen again after last weekend’s performance and have to make it count.”
